MIDLAND, Texas, Mar 15, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. (Amex: NGS) sadly announces Mr. Wayne Vinson, the Company's President, CEO, and member of the Board of Directors, passed away this morning at 1:00 a.m. CST at Midland Memorial Hospital, Midland, Texas. Mr. Vinson passed away as a result of lung cancer.

The Company has known of Mr. Vinson's condition and a final Board of Directors meeting is being scheduled to name a new president.

Mr. Wallace Sparkman, a founder of the Company, and a member of the Board of Directors, will be named Interim President and will handle day to day business matters.

    Funeral services are still pending.
