MIDLAND, Texas, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. (Amex: NGS), a leading provider of equipment and services to the natural gas and oil industry, announces the appointment of William F. Hughes as a member to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Hughes will fill the spot of Mr. James Grigsby who resigned to relocate and pursue other business interests.

Mr. Hughes is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with an advanced degree in Engineering from the University of California. Mr. Hughes is a registered civil engineer, building contractor and co-owner of The Whole Wheatery, LLC, a natural food store and restaurant.

In other company news, Ronald D. Bingham has been elected Vice President and will oversee the Northern operations. Mr. Bingham has served as President of Great Lakes Compression since 2001. Previously, Mr. Bingham was district manager for Waukesha Pearce Industries, Inc., a distributor of Waukesha Natural Gas Engines. Mr. Bingham is a member of the Michigan Oil & Gas Association.

S. Craig Rogers, Vice President, will oversee the Southern operations. Since 1995, Mr. Rogers has been operations manager for Rotary Gas Systems, Inc. and Vice President of Rotary Gas Systems, Inc. since April 2002. Prior to joining Natural Gas Services, Mr. Rogers was the shop manager for CSI, a major manufacturer of natural gas compressors.
